Jewish Meditation: For Cleansing & Guidance

Vizualize the letter Aleph - If you don't remember how it looks write it out:look at it:now:
1. Sit in a comfortable, upright position and breathe fully. Be still. Allow your thoughts just to come up and then let them go. One after another - let them go:do not hold to any of them: Now - in your mind's eye, see before you an expansive natural area, like the sky, a mountain, an ocean, etc. Into this vast space before you, see an Aleph appear. Continue looking at the Aleph as you stand before it.
Aleph has the numerical value of 1 - and stands for the Divine One, who provides the spiritual component to our lives. To be connected to Aleph is to have Divine presence in one's life. According to Kabbalah, Aleph was present prior to the Torah. After all the torah starts with Bet: Tune into the power and enormity of Aleph. Vocalize it - Aleph.
2. Still aware of the Aleph before you, see the Aleph, empty yourself, and allow the Aleph to pour itself into your Bet, filling you with its transformative potency. Vocalize Aleph.
3. See the Aleph, call upon the ancestors, teachers and guides in the lineage your soul is connected to. They sponsor and mentor your development. They may be beings who are alive or out of the body, those with whom you are familiar as well as those still unknown to you. Connect with their love and care for you, and ask for their continuing support and guidance in your transformation. Vocalize Aleph.
4. Still aware of the Aleph's presence, as well as that of your guides, focus on one area in your life that is presently blocking you, a knot which you cannot yourself untangle. With your palms open, offer up this problem for transformation now. Vocalize Aleph.
5. Before the Aleph and the chain of souls that precede you, offer your thanks. Pledge your help and support to those beings who are in need, knowingly or unknowingly, of your assistance in transforming their lives. Vocalize Aleph.
